The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child releases a General Comment on Indigenous Child Rights on January 30, 2009

General Comment on the Rights of Indigenous Children :
available in six languages here

This important document provides guidance to States Parties on how to interpret the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child for Indigenous children. It was developed by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child in consultation with the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the Working Group on Indigenous Child Rights, NGO Group.

The NGO Group on the Convention on the Rights of the Child is an incorporated non-profit located in Geneva. It's members are international organizations working in child rights (membership is done by application and review by the NGO Group). The ISG is one such group and we were officially formed in October 2005 in Toronto, Canada.
